A man reportedly tried to lure a group of primary school students into a white van with “free candy” written on the side in Perth’s southeast. The man approached the children on their way to school in Forrestfield about 8am on Tuesday, inviting them to a van parked near a deli on Berkshire Rd, police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Brad Robinson said.
The children told police the van had “free candy” written on the side. The man was described as Caucasian with a gold tooth and buzzed brown hair, wearing a navy beanie and green cargo pants and carrying multiple backpacks. Robinson said police working to find the man were reviewing CCTV from nearby homes and businesses. “It’s prompted some concerns for us,” he said. “Our greatest ally is the general public with the information they can potentially give up. “Please be vigilant.
