A year since Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice won the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball trophy, a new line-up including a Paralympian are getting ready to hit the dancefloor
A year after EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice were crowned the winners of Strictly Come Dancing, a whole new host of stars have their eyes set on taking home the famous Glitterball trophy.
And with the countdown to Strictly officially on, the show has started unveiling its star-studded line-up. So, let’s take a peek at who’s set to take to the dancefloor… The vivacious star is no stranger to the limelight and is expected to bring her own personal brand of humour to the dance-floor. She has appeared in Richard Osman's House of Games and won acclaim for her starring role in the BAFTA winning sitcom Alma's Not Normal.
Speaking of the announcement, 46 year old Will said: “I’m honestly so chuffed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year! Not going to lie, it’s totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that’s what life is all about. Speaking to OK! about his time on the cobbles, he said: “It was great to play a Corrie baddie. I feel like I’ve ticked off a career goal with that, and my mum was so proud of me.”The 46 year old found fame as part of pop group Hear'Say in 2001 and then went on to join the soap, where she played Michelle Connor for 13 years.
“I’m a huge fan of the show and can’t believe I’m going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress, it’s unreal!” “I’m going to have to cancel my legendary Strictly launch night kitchen party that I throw every year, I’m sure my friends and family will understand."
Carol McGiffin then joked that it was her, before taking it back as Kaye eventually confessed: "The Loose Woman taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing is... me!" “It’s a show that means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins.”
The eighth celebrity to be announced, Matt was revealed as the next contestant to be going on Strictly on This Morning.
