Strictly Come Dancing viewers are divided over who they think the 'dark horse' is of the series but Ellie Leach was definitely one of them as she stunned during her first performance of the series. The 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest began last weekend with the launch show in which the 15 new celebrities discovered their professional partners.
Ellie, who is known for having played Faye Windass in ITV's Corrie for 12 years before her exit earlier this year, looked sensational in a bright orange and yellow tasselled mini dress as she strutted her stuff around the ballroom floor, using her slicked-back ponytail as an additional prop. Following the performance, Strictly fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts, dubbing Ellie the 'dark horse' of the competition. @AnthonyShannon2 said: "Ellie Leach has some serious moves for only week 1. Dark horse to dance away with the Glitterball? #Strictly."
Meanwhile, her famous cousin and former Corrie co-stars were also sharing their support. Brooke Vincent, who is also known for having appeared in the ITV soap as Sophie Webster, shared a clip of Ellie's routine to her Instagram Story and said of her little cousin:" Absolutely f***ing killed it my girl!
