BREAKING: Deputies and police in San Diego say a string of shootings and carjackings stretching from Imperial Beach to Encinitas may have been carried out by the same person.
The first incident was reported at 5:15 p.m. when deputies responded to a shooting in Imperial Beach.
Officers didn't find any victims but located multiple shell casings, according to SDPD Officer Darius Jamsetjee.At 6:41 p.m., officers responded to a shooting reported at a smoke shop in North Park. No injuries were reported. The suspect left in a white convertible in an unknown direction, according to police.At 6:47 p.m., SDPD and the California Highway Patrol received reports of a white convertible involved in a rollover crash on northbound lanes of Interstate 805 at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa.
