A struggling mum has shared her very unexpected experience with a Woolworths worker while attempting to leave her local store. Sharing on X, the shopper said she had just finished purchasing groceries at Woolworths Virginia in Adelaide when her young son became irritable. As she struggled to work out how to get her “grumpy” son back to the car — along with her bags of groceries — she said she was approached by a Woolworths employee with a surprising offer.
“Intended to put him in the trolley but he was grumpy. Had my hands full. “Lady at Woolworths offered to get one of the staff to help me carry bags to my car.” The customer went on to say that while chatting to the Woolworths worker who was assisting her to the carpark, she learned this wasn’t an isolated act of kindness. “On the way out I chatted with the young lady helping me and she said it was the third time today she helped people to their car today with their groceries,” the shopper added.
