Stuart Dallas hasn't been seen in a Leeds shirt since fracturing his femur in April 2022
Stuart Dallas isn’t expected to make his playing return with Leeds United for some time yet, Daniel Farke has confirmed. The versatile Northern Ireland international is about to enter his 17 th month on the sidelines after fracturing his femur in April 2022 while representing Leeds against Manchester City at Elland Road.
Given the severity of the injury suffered, Leeds are right to allow Dallas to recover at his own pace and approach his rehabilitation with caution. As such, while Farke will hope to see the 32-year-old return to bolster the United ranks in the coming months, he insists he won’t be putting him under pressure.“Yes with Stuart, like I mentioned, he's on the long term rehab,” Farke said when asked for an update on Dallas’ return from injury.
Leeds know they have their work cut out if they’re to pick up the points this afternoon at Portman Road as they take on Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys, who have won their first three games on their return to the Championship and currently sit at the top of the table. “A really good side and I have lots of respect for the work there and also for their staff. They are the team of the moment at the moment. So no doubts about this, but we are Leeds United, we also know about our strengths and for us it’s important to concentrate on bringing same level of performance, like the last home game because if we deliver that performance and act a bit more efficiency in both boxes, then we have good chances to travel back with the points.
