A student who wrote his dissertation on Bruce Springsteen gave a copy to the rocker on stage at his Edinburgh gig.

Nathan told the Record: "I've been a fan of Springsteen since I was 10. When he announced the tour I decided I was going to try and give him a copy of my dissertation myself. Nathan had taken his dad along to the gig and said the pair celebrated the 'surreal' moment like it was a 90th minute winner.
