A San Antonio ISD student is in custody after posting threats on social media against Brackenridge and Highlands High School, according to SAISD officials.
The district announced Friday afternoon that none of the threats were credible and that “everyone is safe.”
After learning of the social media activity, Highlands High School added more officers on campus Friday out of precaution. “Please know we take such social media activity seriously, and our district police officers investigate fully to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff,” school officials said.
School officials urged parents to consider having conversations about “responsible use of social media” going forward and assured families that safety is a top priority.We’ll bring more updates to this story as they become available.
