Pupils will be nervously waiting to receive their grades by post, and by email or text for those who have signed up for a MySQA account. A dedicated helpline has also been set up.
About 145,000 students across Scotland are to receive their results for National, Higher and Advanced Higher exams on Tuesday.
The results helpline can be contacted on 0808 100 8000 and will be open from 8am until 8pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday, and then from 9am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday. Certificates are being sent out to candidates across the country by first class post, but about 58,000 students have also signed up to be notified of their grades via text or email as well.
Mr Dey added: “The helpline is here to support you allowing you to speak directly with someone who can offer impartial, expert advice on your options.” The teenager said: “Maxine was able to show me that I still had opportunities with the results I had achieved.
