A comprehensive LinkedIn profile gives a 71% higher chance of a job interview
Data journalist covering technological, societal and media topicsThe importance of a comprehensive LinkedIn profile in modern-day job seeking has been underscored by a new study from CV and resume writing service. The research found that job applicants with a broad and extensive profile on the network were 71% more likely to get a callback for a job interview than candidates who did not have a LinkedIn profile at all.
One third of the resumes submitted did not contain a link to the applicant's LinkedIn profile, another third included a"bare-bones" profile while the final third had a comprehensive profile. Based on the results, the applicants with a link to their comprehensive profile received a callback rate of 13.5% which is 71% higher than the 7.9% callback rate of applicants who did not have any link to a LinkedIn profile on their resumes.
