Sudden death of man on relative's Blackpool driveway was due to natural causes
A man found on the driveway of his cousin's house died due to natural causes, a coroner has concluded.
An inquest last week heard how, just two days earlier, Turkish-born Alper had been to see his GP complaining of left-sided chest pain and pain in his left arm, something he had suffered from for several years. The doctor wrongly diagnosed the 'burning pain' as being down to indigestion and thought the arm pain was not connected.
A post mortem discovered that Alper, a factory worker who lived in Egerton Road, had scarring which suggested he had suffered three previous heart attacks. Pathologist Dr Sameer Shaktawat advised Alper's family to get themselves checked out in case there was a genetic cause.
