The Home Secretary is expected to face questions about claims she asked civil servants to help her to arrange a private speed awareness course when she appears before MPs in the House of Commons this afternoon. In her first public comment since the story emerged, she said that she was “confident that nothing untoward happened”., who was asked about the Home Secretary’s handling of her speeding ticket while in Japan for a G7 leaders’ meeting, has also spoken with his ethics adviser Sir Laurie Magnus about the issue, and a No 10 spokesperson has said that the Prime Minister still has confidence in Ms Braverman.
