Families have had a stressful start to their summer vacation after cancellations Holidaymakers have been left stranded after a string of flight cancellations from two Scottish airports. EasyJet passengers were left high and dry following a wave of cancellations from Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports. Travellers claimed they were given little notice about grounded flights on Thursday morning. Some families turned up to the airports just to find out their flights had been axed, Daily Record reports.
‘It’s the first day of the school summer holidays and this is what families face. It’s terrible. I feel like they have just washed their hands of us.’ He claimed a customer service employee at EasyJet told him his flight was axed because of storms that affected UK flights, according to the outlet. Guy said the ordeal left him ‘thousands of pounds out of pocket’ and it was ‘hard to book something else.
