Millions of Australians will start to enjoy warm summer weather this week, with the mercury topping 30C across South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. A warm air mass is moving across the nation this week, bringing sweltering temperatures. Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Dean Narramore spoke about the surging temperatures — one month out from summer — on Sunrise on Thursday.

” Narramore said both minimum and maximum temperatures across the country were forecast to be above average thanks to warm ocean temperatures around western and eastern Australia, with the expectation of “a lot more sunny days in inland Australia”. And for Halloween trick or treaters on Thursday evening, Narramore warned showers and thunderstorms were “whipping around” some capital cities “so check the radar if you are in Brisbane and Sydney as well”.
