A summer of long and frustrating delays is on the cards for commuters across Melbourne as construction ramps up on road and rail projects. 9News
Four outbound lanes on the West Gate Bridge will close for 10 days between Boxing Day and January 4, as work ramps on upgrades.Significant delays are also expected on the West Gate Freeway between the city and the West Gate Bridge, as well as the Domain Tunnel, Monash Freeway and throughout the CBD.
Works will get underway on Footscray Road, Wurundjeri Way and the West Gate Freeway at Williamstown Road between January and February. The Princes Freeway will close overnight between the Princes Highway and Beaconsfield Interchange between January 9-24.What is planned on Melbourne's train lines?
