Each house seems to have had one, which doesn’t show a great deal of neighbourly trust.’‘Our walk along the Sandstone Ridge from Frodsham, Cheshire, gave splendid views over the Mersey estuary, but this intimate little scene, a gatepost garden, caught the eye.
