The Phoenix Suns, despite the return of Devin Booker, suffered another loss, falling to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies, playing without several key players, took advantage of the Suns' struggles and secured the victory.
Devin Booker made his return to the court, but the Phoenix Suns still struggled, falling to the undermanned Memphis Grizzlies 117-112 on Wednesday. This disappointing performance continues a rough month for the Suns, who have championship aspirations but haven't looked like contenders lately. Kevin Durant led the Suns with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, while Booker added 16 points and a team-high nine assists. However, it wasn't enough to overcome Jaren Jackson Jr.
's 38 points and Desmond Bane's 31 points for the Grizzlies. Phoenix trailed by 14 points at halftime and, although they managed to close the gap to one point in the third quarter, Memphis regained control and sealed the victory. This loss marks the Suns' ninth in their last 13 games, dropping their record to 15-17 and leaving them 11th in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies, despite missing several key players, remain in second place with a 23-11 record. In another game, the Cleveland Cavaliers extended their winning streak to eight games, defeating LeBron James’s Los Angeles Lakers 122-110. Jarrett Allen led the Cavaliers with 27 points and 14 rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell added 26 points and Evan Mobley chipped in 20.
