The AFL has admitted they are as focused on politics as they are on sport before their season has even begun, according to Sky News host Paul Murray.
Mr Murray said the “super woke” sporting organisation’s outgoing CEO Gillon McLachlan declared AFL leads the community on social issues and those who tell them to stick to football “don’t understand” who they are.
“If the AFL is telling you upfront, ‘this is what we are’ and you continue to watch and support it, well, guess what? You can’t whinge when it gets too political,” he said.
