The best gins to stock up on this year (and beyond)
. For those who aren’t familiar, Method and Madness is akin to being the minuscule line extension within the Jameson family. All the expressions are distilled in a microdistillery, first as experiments to see what kinds of new and exciting innovations they can come up with. They even make whiskeys with unusual finishes, such as French chestnut and acacia. And boy, did they do a swell job. The gin, is of course, extraordinary—so much so that I had to hunt the bottle down in Dublin.
There are more local craft gins that you can count and none of them are available in the U.S. market . It all started in the early aughts and you may even call the city gin crazed—more specifically, G&T crazed. So it made absolute sense for cofoundersto develop a first-rate spirit that catered to the discriminating tastes of Barcelonians, who are known for their ültra-refined palates. The goal was to create a “gastronomic” gin. And it took some time and a lot of R&D to do that.
