High street retailers including Superdrug, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Waitrose are recalling various food products with customers being urged not to eat them.
They include a Slenderplan Tropical Smoothie Meal Replacement Shake from Superdrug, Tesco Active Strawberry and Chocolate Flavoured Whey Protein powders, itsu noodle’soup veg gyoza & greens and John West On The Go Indian Tuna Rice Salad. When a product is recalled, for any reason, the FSA shares details on what you should do if you have bought the itemThe below items have all been recalled.
Tesco Tesco is recalling Tesco Active Strawberry Flavoured Whey Protein and Tesco Active Chocolate Fudge Flavoured Whey Protein because they may contain small pieces of metal, making them unsafe to eat.Bath code: 1049765 13Bath code: 1050673 09, 1050673 10 and 1050673 11Bath code: 1049767 10 and 1049767 11The FSA said: "If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund, no receipt is required.
The FSA said: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to crustaceans, do not eat it. Instead, send a picture of the use by date on the packaging to customerservices@itsugrocery.com for a full refund, or if preferred, contact itsu on 0333 224 9510."
