A man has spent the past week fighting for his life in hospital after being abducted and attacked. It's believed the 45-year-old was bundled into a grey Audi on Ashton Road, in Oldham, before being driven away and assaulted.

A worker at an Ashton Road shop added: "One of the police ladies spoke to the boss, asking for CCTV, but I don't know what happened."
"It's shocking," said one woman who was staying with a relative on Villa Road, another street off Ashton Road close to the scene. "I walk there on that road all the time."
