A man who caused an incident on the M5 this morning says he took a 'bit of speed' and was lucky to avoid oncoming cars
A driver who allegedly “had a party” and took a “bit of speed” before driving the wrong way along the M5 to avoid the tolls has been arrested.
The man was allegedly travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes near Fairford Road before he drove over the concrete centre divider when he became stuck.TNV The man said he “wouldn’t do this again” and he was “surprised I survived”, saying the other cars, driving at about 90km/h were “just missing me”.
The incident happened just before 10.30am on Saturday and traffic was disrupted in both directions for about 30 minutes.
