At least four people are dead and three injured after a 19-year-old man went on an hourslong shooting rampage in Memphis on Wednesday, according to police.
The suspect, identified as Ezekiel Dejuan Kelly, allegedly livestreamed at least one of the shootings on Facebook and had a previous criminal record, according to authorities. Kelly was apprehended by Memphis police at around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday after a high-speed chase.The first killing in the alleged gunman's shooting spree was just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, according to Memphis police. Officers located a deceased male victim in a driveway, and police identified Kelly as a suspect.
At 4:40 p.m., law enforcement said Kelly shot a female victim in the leg. She was transported to a hospital with noncritical injuries. At 6:12 p.m., Memphis police said they were notified of the Facebook Live and began their manhunt, alerting citizens of the potential danger and issuing a shelter-in-place order.
