A suspect has been arrested following a 'critical incident' along the Piestewa Freeway in Phoenix, according to police.
Phoenix Police officials say a suspect has been taken into custody following an officer-involved shooting along State Route 51 in Phoenix.
The shooting, according to a Phoenix Police official we spoke with, said the shooting happened in the area of Piestewa Freeway and Indian School Road. In a separate statement earlier on in the evening, police officials said the suspect fled the area, but was eventually was taken into custody in the area of 15th Avenue and Olney in South Phoenix.ADOT officials say the southbound lanes of State Route 51 are closed at Indian School Road.
