A knife was found in the car
The man, 51, was stopped by officers early on Monday morning amid concerns he was driving in a suspicious manner. Police pulled the vehicle over in Preston where they carried out a search of the vehicle.A police spokesperson said: "A driver has been arrested after testing positive for cocaine during a stop and search in Preston. The vehicle was stopped in the early hours of this morning on Lancaster Road North after officers spotted it being driven suspiciously.
"During a search of the vehicle, officers also discovered a knife. A 51 year old man is currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a knife."
