Fremantle have upset Sydney by one point after Swans forward Logan McDonald failed to make the distance with a shot after the siren. In a thrilling finish, McDonald marked just inside the forward 50 as the siren sounded.
Logan McDonald’s shot comes up short. Needing a point for a draw or a goal to win, the young forward shanked his kick slightly with it falling about 5m short. The Dockers wheeled away in celebration after sealing the unlikely 15.9 to 14.14 upset. “F***ing heart attack,” injured Fremantle skipper Alex Pearce wrote from the sidelines.
