More than two million people are expected to descend on Sydney Airport during the Easter school holidays, with travellers urged to 'plan ahead' and arrive earlier before their flights.

Sydney Airport anticipates more than 1.5 million domestic passengers and 850,000 international travellers will pass through terminals from Monday, April 3 to Sunday, April 23.

During the Easter school holidays, domestic passengers travelling with hand luggage are advised to arrive at Sydney Airport one hour prior to departure, or two hours before their flight if they are checking in baggage. Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said crews were"ready and excited" to welcome the"largest number of passengers" the airport has seen since Christmas 2019.
