Sydney battered by severe thunderstorms, heavy rain | daniellamariewh
Severe thunderstorms are sweeping through Sydney, with the Bureau of Meteorology warning parts of the city could be hit with large hail, heavy rain and damaging winds.
The detailed thunderstorm warnings cover the western half of Sydney as well as the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, and parts of the South Coast. The storms are moving towards the east to southeast, and are forecast to affect Gosford, Colo Heights and Umina by 4.30pm and Upper Mangrove, the Parr State Recreation Area and the Yengo National Park northwest of St Albans by 5pm.
