The family of a young Sydney boy who was missing for more than two days have broken their silence after the 12-year-old was found. Hussein Al Mansoory was discovered in a fire escape stairwell at an Auburn medical centre by a staff member, only 100m away from the Auburn Police Station, on Monday afternoon.
Boy found after huge community search. Hussein, who is nonverbal, with down syndrome and autism, went missing on Saturday morning. He was last seen running from Auburn Memorial Park towards the intersection of Station Rd and Rawson St. “One of the staff members thought to check the stairway, and as a result we found him,” police officer Simon Glasser said. “He sat up, and he was smiling, so he was happy ... we’re just happy that we found him.
