Sydney coronavirus testing clinic queue stretches 1.4km amid concerns over rising cases
A massive traffic jam blocked roads around a pop-up coronavirus testing clinic in Picton, as concerns deepen about a growing cluster of new cases in Sydney's south-west.
However, there are now major concerns around another local pub, the Picton Hotel, after an infected person visited the gaming room there several times last week.NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian warned the state was not going to be "COVID-free" anytime soon."It's not going to happen and we shouldn't expect that — we were always going to have cases when we've eased restrictions and we have to expect that.
"We're actually in the process of deploying additional traffic management resources as well as police will be on site soon to help assist in manage traffic delays."Who's in line to receive the latest $750 coronavirus economic support payment? At 10am, there was a traffic jam of more than 1.4 kilometres through Picton as people queued to enter the pop-up coronavirus testing clinic.
