The Sydney Harbour has turned bright red, with the cause currently unknown. The bright red water, flowing into the harbour at Milson Park in Kirribilli, was spotted on Monday afternoon.
Water turns blood-red in Sydney Harbour. Council is aware of the issue, a North Sydney Council spokesperson said. “Officers have investigated but have not been able to find the source,” the spokesperson said. “We have reported it to the EPA. “The cause of the colour is likely to be plumbers dye which, while alarming in appearance, is safe and non-toxic.” The red water comes just over two months after the same water was bright green.
