However, Ms Moore says such a move would be divisive, criticising the New South Wales government’s decision to light up the Sydney Opera House in the colours of the Israel flag. This comes as the Israel-Hamas war has intensified, with the IDF now preparing for the next stage of its war. Officials say 4,741 Gazans and 1,400 Israelis have been killed in the conflict as Israel’s military claims the number of people held hostage has risen to 212.
