The Office of the National Rail Safety has confirmed that the safety checks have been completed and the Metro is ready to open.
Sydney Metro has passed all its safety checks, but there is still no confirmed opening date, nearly two weeks after trains were meant to start running.
"ONRSR has completed its assessment of the evidence in support of the operational safety case for Sydney Metro City Section and granted the necessary approvals," a spokesperson said.The NSW Government is yet to announce a new opening date for the metro.
