Sydney Powerball ticket worth $53 million goes unclaimed | sarah_keoghan
The hunt is on for a lottery ticket holder from Sydney’s west who is likely heading to work on Friday unaware they have won more than $53 million in Thursday night’s record $160 million Powerball.
For privacy reasons, the specific outlet where the winning ticket was purchased won’t be identified until Saturday in hopes the winner will soon come forward. “Of course, we were hoping to reach out to all of our division one winners to break the incredible news, but unfortunately, we will have to wait for our New South Wales winner to come forward,” Eddy said.
A blue-collar worker from Clyde in south-east Melbourne has been identified as the winner from Victoria. He said he would be immediately retiring with the money.
