A Sydney school principal and his brother-in-law are accused of mismanaging up to $1.4 million in funds intended for maintenance and building works at two high schools.
A Sydney school principal and his brother-in-law have been accused of an elaborate scheme to defraud up to $1.4 million from the NSW Department of Education.
Mr Gharibeh is currently principal of Sir Joseph Banks High School in Revesby and was principal at Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School. "Police will allege that he abused that financial delegation, and that position of financial trust," Detective Superintendent Gordon Arbinja from the state's financial crimes squad said.
