A steady feed of coolish Tasman Sea air will stick around for a few days, causing Sydney’s cool conditions to extend into next week | daniellamariewh
Sydney has had its coldest February temperature in eight years as a south-east airstream sets in across eastern Australia.
Temperatures at Observatory Hill have stayed under 25 degrees since Wednesday when a high of 21.3 degrees was recorded. Weatherzone meteorologist Andrew Schmidt said summery conditions will not return until at least Wednesday, when temperatures are forecast to reach 29 degrees.“It was a lot cooler because the cold front was extending further into Australia, so it brought cool air with it.
Mr Schmidt said temperatures should get slightly warmer on Monday and then increase to a forecast 31 degrees on Thursday.“And then more or less stay the same all the way through for the rest of the fortnight,” he said.
