Sydney has had its wettest July ever, just halfway through the month, with 342.2mm of rain.
The previous wettest July was 1950 with 336mm. The usual average rainfall in July for Sydney is 96mm. “This stage doesn’t look like it’s going to be leading to significant increases in flooding to the main flood-affected areas, but it will be annoying type stuff as recovery is still going,” he said regarding the recent floods across the state.NSW SES issued a warning to Sydney residents on Friday as temperatures continue to plummet thanks to a cold front moving across the state. The chilly conditions are set to bring strong winds to the southern and central ranges.
