A Sydney boy has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl he met on social media. 9News
The 16-year-old boy was arrested yesterday as police executed a search warrant on his Kogarah home, in Sydney's south.
Police allege the boy first made contact with his alleged victim on a social media application in March and met her at Kogarah Railway Station on Tuesday.A girl was allegedly sexually assaulted after meeting a teenage boy from social media at Kogarah Railway Station."It's alleged that the boy took her to the public toilets in the town centre, where he sexually and physically assaulted her," NSW Police said in a statement.
A crime scene was established and detectives from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad took over the investigation. The boy has been charged with a string of aggravated sexual assault charges including inflicting actual bodily harm, "choke etc person intend to commit etc indictable offence".The 16-year-old boy is due to return to court on June 7.
