The student from St Paul’s College at the University of Sydney lost part of his ear in the alleged incident.
A student from a residential college at the University of Sydney has had a chunk of his ear bitten off.
“The man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital by security officers in a stable condition. Officers from Inner West Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” NSW Police said in a statement.Head of St Paul’s College Rev Dr Ed Loane said the student was out of hospital and recovering from the attack.“My understanding is the ear will get reconstructed.
“We understand the NSW Police are investigating and the colleges involved are assisting them with their inquiries,” the spokesperson said.
