September marks the end of Games with Gold, and the TA Playlist Game of the Month honors the program’s 10-year legacy with one of its most highly-rated offerings, Borderlands!
We hope you’ve enjoyed the August TA Playlist game of the month, dodging robots as you travel with your cat-like companion Mui across the beautiful. But August is drawing to a close, and next month will bring a different sort of adventure on a different planet.
No, we’re not talking about Starfield ... there’s a great chance the new Bethesda space RPG will show up for a TA Playlist vote at some point, but the September 2023 poll instead focused on four of the highest-rated titles offered to Xbox Live Gold subscribers through the Games With Gold program, which officially ends this month in favor of the new Xbox Live Core subscription tier.
Looking back at the past decade of Games With Gold, we found several highly-rated games that had never been featured in the Playlist, and the voting this month was fairly close, with all four games earning between 20% and 30% of the total. In the end, though,
