SEATTLE — A Tacoma woman was sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison for burning five Seattle police cars in downtown Seattle on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
Margaret Aislinn Channon was arrested on June 11, 2020, after an investigation by the FBI, ATF and the Seattle Police Department. During the sentencing hearing, U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour told the 26-year-old Channon had done “tremendous damage to Black Lives Matter in Seattle.” According to records in the case, Channon appears in videos from the downtown Seattle protests wearing distinctive clothing and showing tattoos on her hands and arms.
