Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick believes Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is a good thing for the industry.

, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick was asked for his thoughts on Microsoft's proposed $69 billion takeover of Activision Blizzard. As it turns out, he believes it's a good thing overall for the industry and for Take-Two as a whole."I can't really predict what the regulators will do, we're certainly of the belief it's a good thing for Microsoft and for the industry," Zelnick said.

It was then put to Zelnick that Activision is a software company and that the deal could potentially end up taking a slice of Take-Two's business. Zelnick said that Take-Two's games stand alone and will still be able to compete."Ultimately, the consumer votes, and if we create great hits, which is our business, then consumers will show up, and no one can take that away from us — no one can replicate that.

In recent months, talk surrounding the deal has dominated the headlines. Sony has been arguing strongly against the deal, with the main focus being the Call of Duty series. Should the deal go ahead, Microsoft offered to keep the Call of Duty franchise on PlayStation for three years after Sony's current agreement ends.
