Under the Football Association’s current pathway, girls with “elite potential” can get into one of 29 Regional Talent Clubs across the country where they will be coached twice a week and play matches once a week.charge fees of up to £200 a seasonThey include Leeds United, Birmingham City and Doncaster Rovers, which charge £200 a season, Stoke City which charges £150, and Southampton which charges £100. Parents will also usually have to cover travel costs.
“The amount we’ve had to spend just to get her in somewhere, it’s just expensive and then people wonder why the top women are all white, middle-class girls,” the dad added.
