The release of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One has finally arrived, and the cast recently gathered in New York City at a red carpet event to celebrate its premiere. The seventh installment in the Tom Cruise-led action franchise has Ethan Hunt taking on new threats and stunts in what's posed to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer.
Screen Rant On The Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One Red Carpet Screen Rant: Some people have drawn comparisons between Ethan fighting against AI in Dead Reckoning and your real-life fight to preserve the movie theater experience. Of course.
Simon Pegg: I know for a fact from McQ [McQuarrie], knitting all those different strands together: Luther in the lounge, Tom in the airport - I mean, Ethan in the airport - Benji in the in the backstage at the baggage, it was a real puzzle to put it all together and have it cross cut. We filmed some of it in Abu Dhabi, we filmed some of it in London, we recreated the baggage handling area in Longcross in London. And it was a lot of fun.
Christopher McQuarrie: None of them were really conscious beyond Kittridge coming back. Henry Czerny was an actor we really admired and we wanted to bring him back, but we didn't want it to just be fanservice, we wanted to really create an arc for him to sink his teeth into.
What do you feel really motivates Gabriel at his core? He kind of seems like someone who just wants to watch the world burn.
