Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could soon be en route to Beijing for high-level meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the country's Ambassador to Australia has confirmed.
Mr Albanese thawed six years of diplomatic iciness between the office of the Australian Prime Minister and the Chinese President when he met with Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali.

“The Chinese side would welcome Prime Minister Albanese to visit China at a time of mutual convenience."“At this time I can share with you that the Chinese side and the Australian side, we’re keeping in touch with each other through diplomatic channels so that we can find out a time that would be convenient for both sides,” he said.
