The Rural Fire Service hopes to begin the process of assessing the damage today amid another round of challenging weather conditions.

Three community meetings are set to be held at Hill End, Pyramul, and Ilford this morning to inform locals about the firefighting strategy and what to expect over the coming days. However, it warned that could change today as weather conditions were again forecast to meet a high fire danger in the central ranges.The blaze has crossed Sallys Flat Road and is now spreading east towards Crudine.

Several bushfires burning across NSWNSW Rural Fire Service Inspector Ben Shepherd says there are 34 fires burning across New South Wales, with around 10 not yet under control. Mr Shepherd said a bushfire in Tambaroora, north of Bathurst, is the only fire downgraded to a Watch and Act. “We are expecting, obviously, as conditions deteriorate across the day, we could see those alert levels start to rise again,” he told Sky News Australia. “Some 34 fires burning across the state, of which around 10 of those are yet to be brought under control. “What we will start to see tough is a bit of an easing of conditions towards the end of the week, but still at least another 48 hours of difficult conditions ahead of us”.
