Founded in 2008, the New Braunfels-based company's future in San Antonio is uncertain.
TaskUs last year said it has more than 4,000 employees in the U.S., with most in New Braunfels, San Antonio and Harlingen in the Rio Grande Valley. TaskUs did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday. It’s expected to report financial results for the fourth quarter on Monday. The layoffs also reflect a trend of cuts among tech companies across the U.S. TaskUs’ clients including Netflix, Zoom, Uber and Facebook parent Meta have announced thousands of layoffs in recent months. Meta has said it will lay off more than 220 workers in Austin as part of its plans to cut 11,000 jobs, or 13 percent of its workforce.
