The minor party founder and federal senator says transparency and integrity issues will dominate as Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff tries to form government.

“What I want to be able to do is make sure there is a government formed, because I’m quite sure Tasmanians don’t want to go back to a re-election over the next two months,” Senator Lambie told ABC radio.Senator Lambie said the state’s Integrity Commission needed to be given new powers, suggesting it had “basically never heard a case”.demanding the contract be provided to new MPs.
“I am hoping there’s a prospect that it can certainly be adjusted because Tasmania just cannot afford that,” she said. “We do not have a resource sector like Western Australia does, we don’t have gold-plated roads and we don’t have the money to have a gold-plated stadium like they do.” Labor leader Rebecca White on Sunday conceded there was no path to government for her party, which was expected to win 10 seats. After three election losses, Ms White’s position will come under pressure this week.Senator Lambie also called for payroll tax breaks for small businesses around the country, warning many were going to the wall due to the slowing economy.
