Victoria is under pressure to keep two Super Netball teams in its state after the Collingwood Magpies made the decision to quit, with Tasmania now campaigning for the eighth license.
Mr Coulson said discussions with Netball Australia were underway as Tasmania was eager to have representation in the competition.
Collingwood Magpies have lost nine out of 11 games so far this season, and admitted the club"could have been better" in their administration. "Our state remains a netball stronghold and Netball Victoria is fully committed to growing the sport from grassroots to the elite level, ensuring there are thriving pathways for our athletes, officials and administrators," the club wrote in a statement.
