Tasmania Police has again warned a man offering lollies has been seen near a primary school, after an alert was issued earlier in the week.

A man driving a white van has again been seen approaching school children in Tasmania after an initial warning earlier in the week, with police saying he was witnessed offering them lollies.Police are urging parents and carers to speak with their children about personal safety measures.

Detective Inspector Craig Joel said the man, described as being Caucasian in appearance, and about 70 years old with balding white or grey hair, was reported near two bus stops in South Hobart before school began this morning."While no children have been harmed or assaulted, this man offered children lollies, and his intentions are unclear," he said.Detective Inspector Joel has urged parents and carers to speak with their children about "stranger danger" and personal safety.
